Nails, Nails, Nails

Hi sweeties <3

I guess everyone knows that nails are a big part of the gyaru fashion. I love that there are so many ways to wear your nails: short, long, oval, sharp and edgy, with lots of bling or just plain.
Within the last years I wore quite a lot of false nails but due to the natural shape of my nails they never really fitted. I really love long nails but my own nails are kinda thin and tend to split, break or rip, so last october (I think it was october) I decided to get a UV-curing lamp and gels and did my own gelnails. I really love crafting and creating little things so I wasn't really afraid of doing it on my own. I guess the first time they were pretty much okay, but nothing more. By now I found out how to make my nails look really good, how to shape them and what gels are best for the modelage.

I bought the Jolifin Starter Set and I'm so happy I got this one. The quality is really good and it comes with everything you need.

I'm always looking for new inspiration. Google and Youtube can be really helpful but also blogs of some lovely gals are full of nail art and other inspirations.

I guess these are the most common shapes for nails and even when not wearing false nails you can wear great nail art. Just take some time, look for a picture of a nail art you'd like to do, get some nail polish and get started!

Lastly I want to share some of my recent nail art. I'm not really able to put on too much bling, because I work as a casshier and my nails usually are totally ruined after work, so I just decorate my nails for special occasions and stick to cute polishes for my everyday life.

This is what my nails looked like after doing them for the first time.
My Valentine's Day nailart (inspired by cutepolish)
This is what I wear right now. I love Polka dots and pastels as they are perfect for spring.
Two days ago was the end of carnival so me and some friends were going out and as I didn't dress up I just made my nails to look a bit like minnie mouse :D
And last but not least a rather blurry pic of my outfit of that night.

Oh and I got the blush I was talking about last time and I love it!

I guess that's again more than enough for today. So I hope you are all well and have a nice day!

Love, M.

[Tag] What if all of your make up got lost?

Hey sweeties <3

Lovely Jen posted a few tags within the last days and tagged all of her readers so here I am answering the tag. So this tag is about make up: Which ten products would you buy first, if all of your make up got lost?

#1: my BB Cream: Right now I'm still using the Skin79 Super+ BB Cream gold label, but I already ordered the Skin79 lovely girl BB Cream so depending on how I like this one I would get one of these again. I really love my BB Cream. It smoothens my skin, moisturizes, covers up every uneven spot and gives a radiant shine. I'm relly looking forward to testing the new BB Cream and I will definitely let you know what I think about it.

#2: Alverde camouflage: I love to use this to cover up the dark circles under my eyes. It has a very creamy texture and covers up so well. Plus it smells sooo nicely!

#3: essence fix & matte translucent powder: as my forehead tends to get quite oily throughout the day I really love this powder, because it helps mattifying my skin so well. I usually apply this all over my face after I finished putting on rouge and eyeshadow to fix everything.

#4: essence I love stage eyeshadowbase: I've been trying out some different eyeshadowbases over the years, but out of all of them I guess I like the essence one best. I really don't like spending too much money on basic make up so I usually just stick to the drug store products also there's a high chance to get them in any small store or town. So this really helps keeping the eyeshadow and eyeliner from smudging, which for me is a real problem in summer (I just can't stand the heat!)

#5: essence eyeshadow quattro "to die for": I guess this is the perfect nude/everyday eyeshadow quattro. I really love the colors as they go so well with my skin and I will in any case buy this again and again!

#6: essence smokey eyes brush: I bought this one just recently but I use it every day! It's just perfect for blending. I had one like this before that was a little bit more expensive but it constantly lost hair and now that I got this one I'm definitely not going back to my old brush.

#7: Catrice precision eyepencil in black: Well I guess there's not much to say about this. It's just a superlasting eyepencil in deep black that I couldn't live without.

#8: Maybelline Lasting Drama gel eyeliner: I guess I've tried like thirty different eyeliners: liquids, gels, pens... either they weren't really black, they smudged after an hour, they burn't on my skin or didn't last more than a month but were really expensive. Finally I found this one and I really love it. It comes with a pencil that is perfekt for application and easy to clean and the eyeliner has a really nice color and finish.

#9: Catrice Allround mascara waterproof: I guess this story would sound a lot like the last one so I'll keep it short. Next to the Maybelline falsies mascara I like this the most. It has a wonderfull not too deep black color and helps curl my lashes really well.

#10: Catrice Defining Duo Blush 050 Apricot Smoothie: Well I don't yet own this one but I have a blush that's very similar to this one and I'm totally going to buy this one too as I heard a lot of good things about it.

I hope this was at least a little bit interesting for you and I think I'll just join Jen and tag all of my readers that haven't yet answered this tag!

I hope you'll all have a great last day of carnival and a lot of fun!
Love, M.

Review: hair straightening brush

Hey sweeties <3

So I told you that I bought lots of new haircare stuff. One of these things was a special brush for straightening your hair while blow drying.
Usually I don't blowdry my hair at all because my hair is naturally very dry and frizzy and when I do blowdry it it gets even worse. But letting it airdry takes ages. At the moment I straighten my hair a lot because I just can't stand the way my natural curls look, so I thought why not try this brush.
I bought it at Basler, a shop especially for hair cosmetics and hair dresser equipment. http://www.basler-haarkosmetik.at/ It's the "Lady B. CERAMIC LINE Haarglätterbürste".

It has different fibers put together into one strand so there are very thick ones to brush the hair and very thin ones to smoothe it. Also the ceramic plates help to disperse the heat evenly.
As my hair is really, really curly and the blow-drier at my boyfriends place isn't exactly the best thing on earth I didn't expect the outcome to be all to amazing but honestly spoken it is awesome! It is way easier to use than an usual round brush and straightened my hair really well.
Unfortunately I couldn't finish my work as the blow drier is so incredibly loud and my boyfriends dad was so annoyed of the sound that I had to stop.
Of course I will have to use my flat iron later but I always have to after blow drying my hair, but my hair feels really silky and is way easier to comb than after blow drying it with a normal brush or a round brush.

Well all in all I think I can totally recommend this brush for anyone who likes to straighten their hair while blowdrying it, but don't like to use round brushes.
I do not regret buying it at all.

I hope this review was helpful for some of you. If you have any questions about the product or the shop you can just leave me a comment.

Love, M.

Lately

Hi sweeties <3

Again I didn't post anything in such a long while. I'm deeply sorry but somehow my life was so full of playing "The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask" that I didn't really feel like doing anything else than saving the world :D
Well even though I've been playing a lot lately I also studied for upcoming exams and worked out a bit. Also me and my boyfriend redecorated his room. I'm still lacking any good pictures, but here I've got a close up of the wallpaper we used.
All in all we spent about two days to do everything. Now he's got a newer bed that doesn't break down if you sit down on the wrong spot, a new table that I love to use as a desk while he is using his own, the new wallpaper and we reduced the size of one of his incredibly huge racks.

I've been "shopping" with my boyfriend too. Well first I was shopping with my family :DD We went to a mall that's kinda close to our hometown and I got some awesome things that were on sale: leatherette shorts and a cute pink knitted pullover. My Dad gave 30€ to me and my sister so that we could get us something nice at OMG! Shoes. Well I really fell in love with a pair of boots. They had like everything that I was looking for in a boot. They where perfect by any mean... but they were not my size! So I kept the money and was really depressed all evening long. Late at night I went to my boyfriends place and the next morning we went to a mall that's close to his flat (it's like 10 minutes away)and in this mall there is the second of only three stores of OMG! shoes. So I went in and found my beloved boots. They had one pair left in my size so I immediately bought them and now here they are! <3
On our way out of the mall we went by Acessoirize and I saw a supercute bag and as it was also on sale I bought it right away.

While writing this I realize that I bought a lot of stuff lately. Especially make up, hair and skin care.
I ordered new BB cream as mine is almost empty. This time I chose the Skin79 Lovely Girl BB Cream.
I bought new haircolor (silver to tone my blonde and black), silver toner and silvershampoo.
I also got a new daily moisturizing and mattifying face cream by essence. It's the my skin mattifying cream with litchi and grade seed oil. It smells great, hydrates very good and also helps controlling the oily shimmer on my forehead perfectly. I think that it's a really awesome product for just 2,15€.
Lastly I got another rather cheap product at a local drugstore. It's the alverde serum with alpine rose. I love it! It moisturizes my skin so well plus it smells so incredibly great!

The last thing I wanna talk about today is my nails and Valentine's day. I prepared some chocolate for my Boyfriend and also decorated nmy nails for this special day so here is a quick snapshot of them.

I almost forgot to tell you that I cut my own hair! I was so fond of my hairstyle so I decided to just cut in some layers and cut my bangs a little bit more side swept. (It was quite late at night so I didn't wear too much make up anymore.

Buth that's it. Really!:DD
I hope all of you had a great Valentine's Day!

Love, M.
